The cold continues in Europe - be prepared

Cold temperatures continue in The Alps and, although they will moderate briefly toward February averages over the next few days, they are set to stay cold for another week.This just in from those nice people at Meribel Unplugged :-
Absolutely FREEZING, but fantastic snow, both on and off piste. Temperatures are arctic..- 20c to - 30c in 3 Valleys.
Diesel cars are freezing up so if driving out add anti freeze to your fuel.Bring snow chains as side roads are still icy. Main roads are clear up the mountain at the mment.
Cold weather is set to continue..so dig out full face balaclavas, good mittens, Grandma's woolly underwear..
This is without doubt the best start to winter we had had in my memory of 25 years in Meribel.
A PROPER winter with cold weather and loads of snow. Just like it used to be in the old days !!
