Smart Ski Will Talk to you About Your Skiing

Ski manufacturer Elan has demonstrated a prototype ski which analyses your performance and lets you know what it thinks of it via a Bluetooth connection to headphones you wear as you ski.
Elan's smart skis have sensors built in which analyse your skiing technique and lets you know how you might improve in real time as you ski, a company spokesperson says.
The skis can analyse their user's flex and balance distribution and for every action made the ski can generate analytical data. This is instantly and constantly uploaded to the cloud then downloaded to an app on your phone which crunches the numbers and translates that in to an audio report of your performance almost instantly.
The company introduced their smart ski based on their SLX Fusion model at the ISPO 2018 expo earlier this season, but says it doesn't yet have a full production schedule worked out.
Will it make users better skiers? Expert feedback appears to say "yes" – but whether skiers will want to constantly be told they could be doing better remains to be seen.
