The giant snowstorm that has been bringing big accumulations of snow to resorts in the Alps is finally easing.
At the same time three-day snowfall totals are beginning to appear with resorts in Austria and Switzerland posting totals of up to 1.15 metres (nearly four feet) of new snow since Saturday.
The biggest winners appear to be Arosa in Switzerland and the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in Austria which both report the 115cm snowfall totals.
Zell am See (pictured yesterday), the Dachstein Glacier and Tauplitzalm in Austria as well as Les Diablerets in Switzerland all report at least a metre.
Many other areas, including in France and Italy, have reported 60-95cm totals.
The week ahead is looking much quieter now for snowfall with the next expected showers at the weekend or early next week.
