Alpine 100 set up to raise funds for GB winter athletes

A new social lottery raising funds for British winter-sport athletes has been launched.
'Alpine 100' was set up to help create funding for winter sport athletes at all levels of the pyramid.
Individuals can take part from as little as £5 each month. Half of the monthly fund is redistributed, and half given in grants to athletes.
Athletes can apply for a grant from Alpine 100 to be used to help with training camps costs, new equipment, race entries and other expenses associated with competitive winter sport.
Scott Dobson is one of the founders of Alpine 100. He told The Ski Podcast:
"I've always watched people coming to me and saying "How can I get kit or grants?" Skiing is not a cheap sport, we all know that. So our way was to find that we could help fund these athletes and give them an option to get a grant from Alpine 100 to go towards their costs."
Scott is an passionate ex-racer and wants to see our grass root racers get as much help as possible to attain higher levels of achievement.
You can subscribe and join the Alpine 100 lottery on their website.
