The Hotel Richard Löwenherz is surrounded by medieval monastery walls and furnished with works of art from the region. The wonderful location, the romantic restaurant with a terrace and view of the Danube, the large, beautiful monastery garden with swimming pool and the open fireplace give the hotel its unique character.

The ruins of Dürnstein Castle are today the most popular sight in the Wachau. The Hotel Richard Löwenherz is named after Richard the Lionheart, King of England, who was imprisoned in Dürnstein from 1192 to 1193.

Important Information
Parking spaces are available in the 2 courtyards. Guests are permitted to drive through the pedestrian area to access the hotel at any time. You can always use the parking spaces in the front of the hotel. The gate leading to the courtyards is closed at night (21:00 to 08:00). Public parking is only available for Dünstein residents.
Guests travelling with children must inform the hotel the number of children and their age.
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays & Thursdays (breakfast is served everyday).
