Borovets has direct access to 20 marked pistes, served by a total of 11 ski lifts.

With ski lifts as high as 2,550m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.


Borovets offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.


Borovets offers some good boarding and there are a variety of Snow and Terrain Parks in Borovets.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Borovets is Sofia, 54 minutes drive away.

Plovdiv airport is also within three hours drive.

Sofia is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.


Ski Lift Capacity

The 11 ski lifts are able to uplift 16,750 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 2km of ski runs, with 6 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Borovets open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Borovets, but they are likely to include most of the following :-
