Summary
St Jean d'Arves is part of the Les Sybelles ski area with access to 240km of downhill skiing, with 136 marked pistes, served by a total of 67 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in St Jean d'Arves itself (20km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Les Sybelles ski resorts of Albiez Montrond, La Toussuire, Le Corbier, Les Bottières, St Colomban des Villards and St Sorlin d'Arves.
The ski resort itself is at 1,600m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,260m, snow cover is generally reliable.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to St Jean d'Arves is Chambery, 60 minutes drive away.
Annecy, Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon St-Exupéry, Lyon Bron, Turin Caselle, Turin Cuneo and Saint-Étienne airports are all within three hours drive.
Chambery is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
