Mürren

The ski area of Mürren is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,650m, with 53km of marked runs.

Summary

Mürren is part of the Jungfrau Region ski area with access to 591km of downhill skiing, with 131 marked pistes, served by a total of 66 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Mürren itself (53km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Jungfrau Region ski resorts of Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen and Wengen.

The ski resort itself is at 1,650m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,970m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Mürren is Berne, 70 minutes drive away.

Zurich, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Geneva, Sion, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Annecy and Lugano airports are all within three hours drive.

Ski Lift Capacity

The 12 ski lifts are able to uplift 10,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 15km of ski runs, with 38 snow cannons.

When is Mürren open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.
