Saas Grund is part of the Saastal ski area with access to 159km of downhill skiing, with 56 marked pistes, served by a total of 35 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Saas Grund itself (45km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Saastal ski resorts of Saas Almagell and Saas-Fee.
The ski resort itself is at 1,559m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 3,200m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Saas Grund is Sion, 90 minutes drive away.
Berne and Annecy airports are all within three hours drive.
To reach Saas Grund, fly into Geneva or Zurich airports, then take a train to Visp and a bus to the resort. The journey offers stunning views of the Swiss landscape.
