Donner Ski Ranch

One of the first Californian ski areas to open, along with nearby Sugarbowl and Badger Pass in Yosemite, Donner was launched in 1946 by Stan and Madelyn Watson who insatalled a T Bar lift alongside Highway 40. The resort has a lift-link to Boreal Ski Area but it has not been operational in recent seasons due to an uncertain business relationship between them. Even when operational the connect normally opens midweek, check status before visiting.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Donner Ski Ranch is Reno Tahoe, 57 minutes drive away.

Sacramento and Chico Muni airports are all within three hours drive.

Reno Tahoe is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
