With over 2,000 acres of skiable terrain, Sierra-at-Tahoe boasts 46 trails and 12 lifts. The resort is particularly famous for its tree skiing and well-groomed runs.

Sierra-at-Tahoe is part of the Lake Tahoe ski area with access to 259km of downhill skiing, with 84 marked pistes, served by a total of 29 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Sierra-at-Tahoe itself (46 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Lake Tahoe ski resorts of Boreal, Diamond Peak, Donner Ski Ranch, Heavenly, Homewood, Kirkwood, Mount Rose Ski Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe and Sugar Bowl.

The ski resort itself is at 2,020m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,700m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Sierra-at-Tahoe is Reno Tahoe, 68 minutes drive away.

Chico Muni airport is also within three hours drive.

Reno Tahoe is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Sierra-at-Tahoe is easily accessible from major cities, with the closest significant airport being Reno-Tahoe International Airport, about an hour away. Take US-50 for the most direct route to the resort.

Season Dates

When is Sierra-at-Tahoe open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late November, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski
