Snow Forecast Summary - April 17th 2008

This is (probably) the penultimate snow report of the European ski season...
And still it snows... more powder days this week, above 2,000 metres, have added to the already considerable snowpacks to ensure excellent conditions to the very end of the season. In the Northern Alps, in particular, exceptional snow remains - with Chamonix now reporting depths of 6 metres and the Grand Massif claiming 4 metres, it's really not over yet.

Suggestions for Enhancing our Snow Reports

We've had some good ideas for additional information to add to our snow forecasts and reports, so here's a thread for you guys (and gals) to add some more.
Can't promise to implement them all (or even take them seriously :lol: ) but feel free to ask for anything you think would be useful to add.

Yet more snow arrived in The Alps late last week, leaving 30cm of fresh powder across much of the region. With low temperatures until the end of this week, conditions will continue to be good - excellent for the time of year.
Many of the higher resorts are still open until the end of this month and, with snow-pack depths now between 2 and 5 metres, will be great places to be next week with empty slopes and good snow. So if you can squeeze in a last minute break...
