Scotland's 2016-17 started briefly at the weekend with The Lecht ski area opening some runs and attracting around 200 skiers.
The early opening came after heavy snow during the previous fortnight gave good November cover, at some points in recent weeks the snow had been so heavy access roads to the centre had to be temporarily closed.
The centre ran the Eagle 1, Buzzard, magic carpet and Chair/Grouse lifts.
Unfortunately by Sunday afternoon temperatures were rising fast and the centre announced it could not open until more snow fell. Web cam images today show most of the snow has gone after temperatures headed back up towards double figures.

However temperatures arte expected to dip again tomorrow with more snow in the forecast and sub zero temperatures by the weekend.
No other Scottish areas have announced season opening plans yet.
The Lecht has a history of opening early whenever it can, and has opened for snowsports at Halloween in the past.
