The ski resort of Ischgl in Austria will open their new Furglerblick 8-person gondola in December.
The new gondola will take skiers from 1142m to 2570m in just over four minutes. From the top, skiers and snowboarders will have easier access to a larger off-piste area and a new blue run.
The Furglerblick should ease the pressure on the area's existing four-seater chairlift, reducing queueing time.
In other news from Ischgl, Sean Paul has been confirmed as the headline act at the resort's annual 'Top of the Mountain' opening concert.
"Mister Dancehall" kicks-off the season on 26 November 2022 and will entertain with hits including "Get Busy", "Got 2 Luv U", "She Doesn't Mind" and "I'm Still in Love with You".
Skiers and snowboarders will be able to start skiing from 24 November, when the Silvretta Arena linking Ischgl to Samnaun opens. Any ski pass for two days or more includes admission to the concert.
