Ischgl is a premier ski resort in Austria known for its extensive slopes and lively atmosphere. With a rich variety of pistes, it attracts skiers and snowboarders from around the world.

 Summary

Nestled in the Paznaun Valley, Ischgl boasts over 238 kilometers of ski runs, catering to all skill levels. The resort is renowned for its high-altitude skiing, with elevations reaching up to 2,872 meters.

The ski area of Ischgl is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,380m, with 200km of marked runs.

Ischgl is part of the Silvretta ski area with access to 145 marked pistes, served by a total of 101 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Ischgl itself (200km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Silvretta ski resorts of Galtür and Kappl. Ischgl is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Samnaun.

With ski lifts as high as 2,900m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Ischgl is Innsbruck Airport, 70 minutes drive away.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, Memmingen, Bolzano, Zurich, Munich and Salzburg airports are all within three hours drive.

Traveling to Ischgl is convenient, with the nearest major airports being Innsbruck and Zurich. From these airports, visitors can reach the resort by car or shuttle services, making it easily accessible for skiers.

Usual opening is late November, and usual closing is Early May.
