Kappl offers a charming and family-friendly ski experience. Nestled in the Paznaun Valley, this resort balances beautiful scenery with diverse slopes.

Kappl features 40 kilometers of well-groomed pistes suitable for all skill levels, complemented by a friendly atmosphere. The resort's modern lift system ensures access to both beginner runs and challenging terrains amidst stunning alpine vistas.

The ski area of Kappl is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,260m, with 40km of marked runs.

Kappl is part of the Silvretta Arena ski area with access to 159 marked pistes, served by a total of 107 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Kappl itself (40km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Silvretta Arena ski resorts of Galtür, Ischgl and See im Paznaun.

With ski lifts as high as 2,690m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

The longest possible descent in Kappl is 9km long and the most difficult run is the 'Schafbühelabfahrt (Nr. 8)'.

The Kappl ski area reaches an elevation of 2,700 meters, providing excellent snow conditions. Key lifts include the Diasbahn and the Alblittbahn, while notable pistes like the blue-rated 'Hochgallmigg' and the challenging 'Mittelberg' cater to varied abilities.

Kappl offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Kappl is Innsbruck Airport, 60 minutes drive away.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, Memmingen, Bolzano, Zurich, Munich and Salzburg airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Kappl, fly into Innsbruck Airport (approx. 90 km away) or Zurich Airport (about 250 km). From there, car rentals or train services to Landeck are convenient options for accessing the resort.

Ski Lift Capacity

The nine ski lifts are able to uplift 1,600 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 17km of ski runs, with 102 snow cannons.

When is Kappl open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Late April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
