This just in from Chamonix Tourist Office :-After a few successive snowfalls, the conditions above 2000m are pretty good for so early in the season. The Grands Montets ski area, Argentière will be opening partially this week-end 27th and 28th November.
Bochard gondola and Marmottons chair lift will provide access to skiing up to 2800m.
To celebrate the first weekend of the season, Compagnie du Mont Blanc offers special rates!
20 € 4 consecutive hours / 25 € day – adult 16-64 years
17 € 4 consecutive hours / 21 € day – children 4-15 years & seniors 65-74 years
12.50 € day – veteran 75+ years
71 € day – family
The Grands Montets area will close during the week, but be open on a daily basis from the 4th December on (conditions permitting).
