Rifflsee

The ski area of Rifflsee is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,740m, with 45km of marked runs.

Summary

Rifflsee is part of the Pitztal ski area with access to 48km of downhill skiing, with 40 marked pistes, served by a total of 22 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Rifflsee itself (45km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Pitztal ski resorts of HochZeiger and Pitztaler Gletscher.

The ski resort itself is at 1,740m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,800m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Rifflsee is Innsbruck Airport, 90 minutes drive away.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Memmingen, Bolzano and Munich airports are all within three hours drive.

Infrastructure

The five ski lifts are able to uplift 20,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Early April.
