Abondance is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area with access to 650km of downhill skiing, with 285 marked pistes, served by a total of 196 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Abondance itself (15 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Portes du Soleil ski resorts of Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, Saint Jean d'Aulps, Champoussin, Champéry, Les Crosets, Morgins and Torgon.

The Abondance ski area boasts around 30 kilometers of slopes, with elevations ranging from 1,000 to 2,200 meters. Key lifts include the La Panthiaz gondola and the Châtel gondola, leading to notable pistes such as the Les Lindarets and the Les Boudes.

Abondance offers good sking, particularly, for Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Abondance is Sion, 70 minutes drive away.

Geneva, Annecy, Berne, Chambery, Lyon St-Exupéry, Grenoble, Lyon Bron, Basel and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airports are all within three hours drive.

To reach Abondance, the nearest major airports are Geneva and Chambery, both offering convenient transport options. From Geneva, take the A40 motorway, followed by the D22 road to the resort.
