Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski areas in the world, featuring over 600 kilometers of slopes. It offers a diverse range of terrain suitable for all skill levels.

The ski area of Portes du Soleil comprises the ski slopes of 14 ski areas, including Avoriaz, Les Gets and Morzine.

The ski area includes 14 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 400km of downhill skiing, with 285 marked pistes, served by a total of 196 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in any of the ski areas of Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, Saint Jean d'Aulps, Champoussin, Champéry, Les Crosets, Morgins and Torgon.

With ski lifts as high as 2,470m, snow cover is generally reliable.

Skiing

The resort features several notable ski areas, including Avoriaz, Les Gets, and Morzine, with elevations ranging from 1,000 to 2,400 meters. Key lifts include the Prodains Express and the Super Morzine gondola, with popular pistes like the Swiss Wall and the Grand Paradis offering thrilling descents.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Portes du Soleil is Sion, 70 minutes drive away.

Berne, Geneva, Annecy, Chambery, Basel, Grenoble, Lyon Bron, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Zurich, Turin Caselle, Lyon St-Exupéry and Dole–Jura airports are all within three hours drive.

To reach Portes du Soleil, travelers can fly into Geneva Airport, approximately 1.5 hours away by car. Alternatively, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Airport serves as another access point, with shuttle services available to the resort.
