Meran 2000

The ski area of Meran 2000 is in the Italian Dolomites at an altitude of 1,600m, with 40km of marked runs.

Summary

Meran 2000 is part of the Ortler Skiarena area with access to 297km of downhill skiing, with 123 marked pistes, served by a total of 79 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Meran 2000 itself (40km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Pfelders, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler, Vigiljoch and Watles.

The ski resort itself is at 1,600m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,300m, snow cover is generally reliable.

Meran 2000 offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Beginner skiers.

Meran 2000 offers some good boarding and there is a Snow Park in Meran 2000.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Meran 2000 is Bolzano, 23 minutes drive away.

Innsbruck Airport, Verona, Brescia, Venice and Bergamo airports are all within three hours drive.

Bolzano is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Infrastructure

Ski Lift Capacity

The seven ski lifts are able to uplift 8,500 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 40km of ski runs, with 20 snow cannons.
