Pila

Pila is a charming ski resort nestled in the Aosta Valley. It offers a variety of slopes for all skill levels amidst breathtaking mountain scenery.

The ski area of Pila is in the Italian Alps at an altitude of 1,800m, with 70km of marked runs.

Pila is part of the Aosta Valley ski area with access to 352km of downhill skiing, with 180 marked pistes, served by a total of 62 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Pila itself (70km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Aosta Valley ski resorts of Breuil-Cervinia, Courmayeur, Crévacol, Etroubles and Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses.

The ski resort itself is at 1,800m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,750m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Skiing

Pila boasts a ski area with approximately 70 kilometers of pistes, reaching elevations of up to 2,700 meters. Notable lifts include the Aosta-Pila gondola and the Chamolè chairlift, offering access to runs like the scenic 'Pila' and the challenging 'Couis 1'.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will find excellent terrain parks at Pila, including the 'Fun Park Pila', which features various jumps and rails suitable for all levels. The wide-open slopes also provide plenty of space for carving and freestyle riding.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Pila is Venice, 58 minutes drive away.

Verona, Milan Malpensa, Bologna, Trieste, Milan Linate, Turin Caselle, Forlì, Bergamo and Lugano airports are all within three hours drive.

Venice is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Pila is easily accessible via the A5 motorway, with the nearest major city being Aosta, located about 20 kilometers away. The closest airport is Turin Airport, approximately 120 kilometers from the resort.

The 13 ski lifts are able to uplift 16,300 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 8km of ski runs, with 400 snow cannons.
