The dynamic Alaïa group is taking over the management of Crans-Montana's Snowpark.
The company has already set up a surfing facility - Alaïa Bay - in Sion and offers skateboarding and parcours features at their Alaïa Chalet base in Crans Montana. From this winter they will be also be managing the ski area's snowpark.
Adam Bonvin, the group's founder, said:
"We can officially say that Alaïa now offers the possibility of combining several sports in one day, including snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing."
The Crans-Montana Snowpark has a reputation as one of the best in Switzerland, principally due to Olympic-sized half-pipe and covers an area of around 140,000m2.
As the season draws to a close, in May and June, the snowpark will move to the Plaine Morte Glacier where snow can be guaranteed and the resort will host several national teams.
There will be a number of freestyle events held in the snowpark during the season, culminating with the Audi Nines in April – an event that brings together 40 of the world's top freestyle skiers and snowboarders.
