Central in the Lungau ski region, Mauterndorf is lift-linked to St Michael on one side and weisspriach on the other, the lift pass includes the skiing at Obertauern taking the total area to 200km. Nearby Mariapfarr is a major cross-country ski centre, close to the lifts.
