Villach
The skiing around Villach is in five separate areas, and you can go further still with the Three Countries pass which includes lifts in Italy and Slovenia. Lots to do off the slopes, Villach has been an important settlement since Roman times and the thermal water fun park especially, and there are museums of dolls and cars.
The local slope, Heiligengeist, 15 minutes from the resort centre, has a 680m long drag lift that ascends 102 vertical metres.

By Air
The nearest airport to Villach is Klagenfurt, 40 minutes drive away.
Ljubljana, Trieste, Graz, Salzburg, Venice, Treviso, Zagreb, Linz and Rijeka airports are all within three hours drive.
Klagenfurt and Ljubljana are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
