The ski area of Gosau is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 770m, with 56km of marked runs.

Summary

Gosau is part of the Dachstein West ski area with access to 299km of downhill skiing, with 97 marked pistes, served by a total of 81 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Gosau itself (56km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg im Lammertal, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Gosau is Salzburg, 60 minutes drive away.

Linz, Munich, Klagenfurt, Graz, Ljubljana and Innsbruck Airport airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Infrastructure

Ski Lift Capacity

The 10 ski lifts are able to uplift 35,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 52km of ski runs, with 35 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Gosau open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.
