Hippach

Hippach is a picturesque ski resort nestled in the Zillertal Valley. It offers a variety of slopes for all skill levels amidst stunning alpine scenery.

Hippach is part of the Zillertal ski area with access to 489km of downhill skiing, with 91 marked pistes, served by a total of 177 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Hippach itself (157km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zillertal ski resorts of Mayrhofen and Tux - Finkenberg. Hippach is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Mayrhofen.

With ski lifts as high as 2,500m, snow cover is generally reliable.

The mountains surrounding Hippach boast an impressive elevation of up to 2,500 meters. Key ski areas include the Horberg and the adjacent Penken, featuring notable pistes like the blue 1 and red 8, along with reliable lifts such as the Horbergbahn and the Penkenbahn.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarders will enjoy the terrain parks at the nearby Penken area, which include the Penken Park. This park features various jumps and obstacles, making it suitable for all levels of riders.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Hippach is Innsbruck Airport, 60 minutes drive away.

Salzburg, Bolzano, Munich, St. Gallen-Altenrhein and Memmingen airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Hippach is easily accessible via Innsbruck Airport, approximately 70 km away. From there, you can take a train or shuttle service directly to the resort.

The 45 ski lifts are able to uplift 78,820 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 50km of ski runs, with 117 snow cannons.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late April.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, enjoy the vibrant après-ski scene at bars like the Arena Bar and the Zillertal Bier Bar. For dining, restaurants such as the Tuxer Grill offer hearty meals to refuel.
