The ski area of Wagrain is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 850m, with 350km of marked runs.

Summary

Wagrain is part of the Salzburger Sportwelt ski area with access to 760km of downhill skiing, with 144 marked pistes, served by a total of 270 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Wagrain itself (350km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Salzburger Sportwelt ski resorts of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Filzmoos, Flachau, Goldegg, Kleinarl, Radstadt and St. Johann-Alpendorf.

With ski lifts as high as 2,020m, snow cover is generally reliable.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Wagrain is Salzburg, 56 minutes drive away.

Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Munich, Linz, Graz, Innsbruck Airport and Trieste airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

When is Wagrain open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.
